yet/still
still (هنوز) نشان میدهد که عملی یا وضعیتی هنوز ادامه دارد. still معمولآ در جملات خبری قبل از فعل اصلی و بعد از افعال to be بکار میرود. مثال:It's 10:00 and Tom is still in bed. .ساعت ده است و تام هنوز در رختخواب است
Are you still living in the same house? هنوز هم در همان خانه زندگی میکنی؟I haven't given up smoking. I still smoke. .من سیگار را ترک نکرده ام. هنوز سیگار میکشم
توجه: همانطور که می بینید still معمولآ با زمان های حال ساده و استمراری همراه میشود.
yet (هنوز) نشان میدهد که عملی بر خلاف انتظار هنوز انجام نشده است. در ضمن از yet برای پرسیدن این که عملی انجام شده یا نه استفاده میشود. yet معمولآ در جملات منفی یا سوالی غالبآ در انتهای جمله بکار میرود. مثال:I'm hungry. Is dinner ready yet? گرسنه ام. شام هنوز آماده نشده است؟
We don't know where we're going on our vacation yet.ما هنوز نمی دونیم برای تعطیلات به کجا خواهیم رفت.
توجه: yet را در بسیاری از اوقات با زمان ماضی نقلی (present perfect) به کار میبرند; مثال:Have you finished writing that letter yet? هنوز نوشتن آن نامه را تمامنکرده ای؟
توجه: still را میتوان همراه فعل منفی با ماضی نقلی هم بکار بکار برد که در این صورت مشابه yet معنی می دهد. مثال:She hasn't written to me yet.
= .او هنوز برای من نامه ای ننوشته است
She still hasn't written to me.

'Get' + past participle
اغلب از این ترکیب بصورت غیر رسمی استفاده میکنیم.
get married (=marry) ==> She got married in France.
get divorced (=divorce) ==> They got divorced last year.
get dressed (=dress) ==> I got dressed quickly and went out.
get undressed (=undress) ==> He got undressed and got into bed.
get changed (=change clothes) ==> When I got home I went to my room and got changed.
get lost (=lose one's way) ==> I got lost on my way to the station.
Common collocations (ترکیب های رایج)
استفاده از get با کلمات زیر بسیار رایج بوده و اغلب به معنی تغییر در حالت است.

Bank Robbery
It was 80 degrees in the shade. A man wearing a heavy army jacket, a pullover wool cap, and dark sunglasses walked into the First American Bank at the corner of Maple and Main streets in downtown Short Beach.
The man walked up to the teller and held up a hand grenade for all to see. He said, “Give me all your money, all the money in this bank, right now!”
Everyone in the lobby screamed and started running, even the security guard. Nervously, the young female teller handed the man three big bags loaded with cash. He walked out the door. A second later, one of the money bags exploded, covering him with red dye. He yelled in pain and surprise, and started pacing around in circles because he couldn't see where he was going.
He couldn’t see, but he could hear. He heard the police siren get closer. Then he heard the police tell him to get down on his stomach on the sidewalk and put his hands behind his back. They handcuffed him and placed him in the back of the police car.
Seeing the hand grenade on the sidewalk, the police told everyone to get back. They sealed off the whole block and called the bomb squad. The bomb squad came and examined the hand grenade. Then they laughed. They told the police it was a fake. The hand grenade was actually a harmless dummy, something a 12-year-old might play with.
The police chuckled. The bank employees returned to work. The bank customers returned to their lines. The bank robber, hopefully, would never return.فایل صوتی داستان

`I know. What has three legs, takes ten hours to climb up a palm tree, and ten seconds to get back down?` The scientist is confused and thinks long and hard about the question. Finally, the train ride is coming to an end. As it pulls into the station, the scientist takes out ten dollars and gives it to the farmer.
